How long will it
take to get my vehicles?
We carry many
police vehicles, basic trucks, sport utilities, and vans in stock
that can be delivered to you in a little as 7-10 days after receipt
of your purchase order. Vehicles to your exact specifications may
be ordered from the manufacturer and usually arrive in 8-12 weeks.
Installation of additional equipment may affect delivery times.
Does Philpott Fleet
accept trades-ins?
We accept
trades regardless of condition. Trades are a great way to stretch
your budget dollar. Unlike proceeds from auctions, which are
normally funneled back to an agency’s general fund, trades directly
reduce the cost of new equipment for your department.
What is a
cooperative-purchasing program?
Cooperative-purchasing groups aim to increase buying power through
large numbers of purchases. In the case of automobiles and
equipment, coops will bid a particular vehicle line and get larger
discounts from bidders because of their member’s expected purchase
volume. Members pay a fee to the coop to use this contract for
purchases, but get to utilize the lower pricing. Popular coops in
Texas include
HGACBuy,
BuyBoard, and the
Tarrant County Cooperative.
What is the HGACBuy program?
The
Houston-Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Program is a
regional council of governments operating under the laws of the
State of Texas. The H-GAC board awards contracts through which
local governments nationwide are permitted to purchase. Additional
information can be found online at
www.hgacbuy.com.
What is the BuyBoard?
The Texas
Association of School Boards conducts a yearly bid and allows
members to utilize this contract, know as the
BuyBoard, for
purchases. Additional information can be found online at
www.buyboard.com.
How quickly can
I get a quote on a vehicle?
We attempt to
provide quotes within 24 hours. However, if you must have an
immediate quote, please let us know and we will try to accommodate
your request. (This may not be possible during the new budget
season from October to December because of the high volume of
requests.)
Request a quote.
What is a Ford Fleet Identification Number and how do I get one?
Effective July
1, 1999, Ford Fleet Sales requires each major fleet and government
fleet customer to have a Fleet Identification Number (FIN) code.
This code insures that warranty or recall information is forwarded
to the proper customer personnel. A FIN code is required for the
dealer to report a vehicle sold and register the factory warranty.
To obtain a FIN code, please call Ford Fleet at (800) 343-5338 ext
#1. A representative will obtain the necessary information and
assign the 5-digit code. This code can be used on all subsequent
purchases.
